Alpha Omicron Pi
Alpha Omicron Pi was founded on January 2, 1897 at Barnard College on the campus of Columbia University in New York. AOII is an international women’s fraternity promoting friendship for a lifetime, inspiring academic excellence and lifelong learning, and developing leadership skills through service to the Fraternity and community.
AOII’s unofficial mascot is the panda and its symbols are the sheaf of wheat, the Jacqueminot rose, and the ruby. The fraternity color is cardinal. AOIIs on campus put on an event called Strike Out Arthritis every year to raise money for arthritis research, AOII’s national philanthropy.
