Sustainability Chair Application

Women’s Panhellenic is accepting applications for a NEW chair position! The Sustainability Chair will:

-Work with the Executive Board, the Panhellenic Delegates, Chapter Sustainability chairs, relevant organizations on campus, [and IFC Sustainability chair if they add one] in order to increase sustainability efforts in existing events and coordinate implementation of sustainability initiatives within the Panhellenic community.
- Facilitate weekly [or bi-weekly] meetings with the Chapter Sustainability chairs and act as a resource for them.
- Keep in contact with environmentally-related groups and organizations on campus and use them as a resource. [Examples: Green Action, Green Events Commission (GEC), the Burning Kumquat, the Office of Sustainability, Washington University Students for International Collaboration on the Environment (WUSICE), Net Impact, the Department of Environmental Studies]
- Will be appointed, not elected, following the process outlined in the WPA bylaws 1.11.b
- Uphold and act in the spirit of Aretê.

Applications are being accepted online through the form posted below. All applicants will meet with the Women’s Panhellenic Executive Board and will be voted on by chapter delegates. Applications are due February 7, 2012, and the Sustainability Chair will be announced in February 2012.
